"Eu gosto muito de projetos de longo prazo... Há tempo para o fotógrafo e as pessoas em frente à câmara se compreenderem mutuamente. Há tempo para ir a um local e entender o que se está a passar ali... Quando se dispende mais tempo num projeto, aprende-se a compreender os sujeitos. Há um momento em que não és tu a fotografar. Algo especial sucede entre o fotógrafo e as pessoas que ele está a fotografar. Ele compreende que são elas que estão a dar-lhe as fotografias."
