This is one of my favourite flowers: it has a different shape, it's original!
Strelitzia Reginae is named after the birthplace of Charlotte (Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) wife of King George III of the United Kingdom.
It is native to South Africa.
It's also the Official Flower of the City of Los Angeles.
